If you follow a ketogenic  diet, you probably have heard of Eggfast. But what is it?

Picture
What is an egg fast?  It’s a (short term) diet that consists of primarily eggs, cheese, and butter. This way of eating will result in an extremely low carb, high fat, moderate protein intake that will kickstart your body into fat burning mode, also known as ketosis. Daily menus consist of 6 to 8 eggs with a corresponding Tbsp of pure fat in the form of butter, olive oil, or coconut oil for each egg.  You can also eat a corresponding Tbsp of full fat cheese per egg, if you choose.

But eating just eggs and fat for days on end sounds
monotonous!! Let's dig into what meals we can  make with the allowed Eggfast ingredients :) Here is my full day eggfast menu.

Breakfast: Snickerdoodle Crepes

Picture
INGREDIENTS
For the crepes:
  • 6 eggs
  • 5 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp sweetener of choice
  • butter for frying
For the filling:
  • 8 Tbsp butter
  • Optional sweetener of choice
  • 1 Tbsp (or more) cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Blend all of the crepe ingredients together in a blender & let the batter rest for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Heat butter in a nonstick pan on medium heat until sizzling.
  3. Pour enough batter into the pan to form a 6 inch crepe. Cook for about 2 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Remove and stack on a warm plate. You should end up with about 8 crepes.
  5. Meanwhile, mix your sweetener and cinnamon in a small bowl until combined.
  6. Stir half of the mixture into your softened butter until smooth.
  7. To serve, spread 1 Tbsp of the butter mixture onto the center of your crepe.
  8. Roll up and sprinkle with about 1 tsp of additional sweetener/cinnamon mixture.

OMG these look absolutely fantastic!!!!!
Thank you sooooo much. Heck these will be great as just an addition to my ketoish diet, not just an egg fast. I just found your channel, but I'm a new subscriber already.

Thank you, I found this very helpful, as I have done the egg fast before and it was very monotonous, however with these different recipes, my next egg fast will be easier
