Chocolate Covered Bacon Roses

Say it with B A C O N!!! Valentine's Day is fast approaching, say ILY in a way that will melt anyone's heart: Chocolate Covered Bacon Roses & Strawberries!!

Ingredients:
1 lb thick cut bacon
1 pint fresh strawberries
16 oz ghirardelli dark chocolate
Toppings of choice like unsweetened coconut, crushed nuts, or dark chocolate chips

Chocolate Covered Strawberries:

Rinse and dry strawberries. Melt chocolate in microwave at 30 sec intervals until fully melted. Dip each strawberry into the chocolate then top with preferred garnish. Place on parchment lined sheet to set.

Bacon Roses:
Take a strip of bacon, and starting at one end, roll it up tightly to form a rosette. Secure the roll with two toothpicks, as close to the bottom of one end as you can, to form a cross. Place the rose on a wire rack on top of a foil lined tray. Repeat with all the bacon.

Place tray of bacon rolls into the oven at 375 , and bake 20-25 minutes, until they are well cooked and have a good color. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Dip rose bottoms into melted dark chocolate. Allow to set up on parchment lined sheet before serving.
