What is the reverse sear method?Cooking steak traditionally involves searing it over high heat, then finishing in an oven until desired doneness. The reverse sear method flips the order of cooking! First you cook the meat on a very low heat in the oven before searing the outside on a super hot surface allowing you to have a perfect mid rare steak each time. Ingredients: 10 ounces ahi tuna , about 1 inch thick 2 tablespoons oil Directions: In a medium frying pan over medium-high heat, warm the oil until just smoking. Frying two portions at a time, arrange the tuna steaks in the pan and cook about 1 minute. Turn the tuna over and cook for 1 minute for rare. Serve with pickled cucumbers and sesame soy sauce.
